Norwich Triathlon

The Norwich Triathlon will be taking place on Sunday 5th July.  Part of the cycle course runs through Trowse Village and the organisers would be grateful if parents could warn their children that cyclists will be travelling through the village and along Whitlingham lane very quickly and very quietly.  A map of the whole route is available in school.

F.O.T.S. News

A huge thank you to everyone: staff, pupils, parents and friends for making the fete on 19th June such a success.  We hope to have the final figure of the amount raised very shortly.  In the meantime, FOTS have been busy organising a children’s disco for Tuesday 14th July.  Letters to apply for tickets will be coming home in book bags very soon.

In addition to the Spree books which were sent home recently, we have registered with http://www.tickred.com/trowse This website provides vouchers for local attractions in the form of mobile phone text messages.  Even by just registering using the link above you will help raise funds for the school.  We are also registered with http://www.easy2name.com and are aware that there have been problems with online bookings trying to quote the school.  We have been assured that this is being rectified.  In the meantime, if you type “Trowse” this should be sufficient for us to claim 20% of your order value.

The FOTS AGM will take place on Monday 14th September in the School Hall at 7:45pm.  Hopefully the main business will be short and there will be the opportunity to socialise, and welcome new parents to the school.  Please get in touch with us at if you would like to get involved or have ideas for future events.

Playground Arrivals

We have noticed that several unsupervised children are arriving very early in the mornings to the playground.  Can we remind parents that the teaching staff do not come out for playground duty until 8.40am and we are very concerned for the safety of children out in the playground by themselves.  Children are the responsibility of their carers until 8.40am.  Therefore we must ask that parents either arrive with their children and remain on the playground to supervise themselves until a member of staff comes onto the playground, or that parents ensure that their children do not arrive until 8.40am.  Your co-operation with this is greatly appreciated.
